Claire Todd - Nest
About the statue:
A type of foot basin with fountain was, in complete intimacy, erected on this square. The artwork is made of colourful ceramics. It represents a trunk with a bird’s nest, in which a number of young birds are sitting with their beak open.
When creating this piece, the artist thought of all the neighbourhood children that would be playing in the basin.
